It certainly has its highs and lows, and I daresay there are a number of reasons to blank out throughout, though Penn (purposefully?) front-loads the film with Bronson and back-loads it with Hopper to keep us locked down.Sean Gillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00537515557596273876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5497928641398322495.post-28137641955562980282018-04-04T14:26:39.561-04:002018-04-04T14:26:39.561-04:00Woah...I'd never have imagined Bannon was invo...Woah...I'd never have imagined Bannon was involved on this thing. Great glance back at a film I recall more for Penn's visual flavour and the jots of brilliance (particularly in the aforementioned use of Bronson and Hopper) than for its somewhat overworked gestures (I kinda blanked out after the child version of Mortensen got out of the car).Roderick Heathhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08107539379079558068noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5497928641398322495.post-23850970914730483562018-03-25T12:19:13.815-04:002018-03-25T12:19:13.815-04:00Gweeps,

Maybe I'll dig out a late 60's/early 70's chestnut today. It's been a long time.

I didn't mind The Indian Runner. A pretty good directorial debut for Penn. A decent story exceptionally well cast.

I wonder if Penn really did convince Charlie to shave his mustache or if there was a shaving accident some morning?gweepshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01604195897052496766noreply@blogger.com
