Yes, this film is an incredible embarrassment of riches, character actor-wise.<br /><br />I agree with ya, that the film has its flaws but it is such a fascinating film to watch. The extras on the Criterion edition are quite good, even if they didn't include the FINAL CUT doc.<br /><br />And yeah, watching that film certainly takes a large time commitment.
