I did a review of it a ways back:
http://juntajuleil.blogspot.com/2012/05/film-review-cyborg-1989-albert-pyun.html

Also, I must thank you for mentioning Jean-Claude's CV, which led me to the thought: does his resume header say "JCVD CV" ?

John,

Heh, no worries– I do love me some NEAR DARK. $38 seems pretty excessive, especially with the TWILIGHT-style redone cover art. In my defense, I was distracted by your mentioning of NEAR DARK which got me thinking about that movie again (I brought it up in your Titanic post in reference to Jenette Goldstein), so much so that I ordered the blu-ray on amazon (used of course, a new copy is selling for $38.95?!).John Guedeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16977371064737979240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5497928641398322495.post-42015405780903798322014-05-09T00:01:33.747-04:002014-05-09T00:01:33.747-04:00WOW haven't seen this for ages, classic adult ...WOW haven't seen this for ages, classic adult Van Dammage for sure. It's a pity JJM hasn't done much film work since his golden era (only three roles in the 24 years since DEATH WARRANT), though it looks as if he has directorial aspirations. I actually did sneak in a l'il mention of HALLOWEEN III there, and in looking again at his list of credits, I am upset there he was never in a film called TEEN WITCH III: SEASON OF THE HALLOWEEN.Sean Gillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00537515557596273876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5497928641398322495.post-79733311126979863292014-05-08T09:24:02.770-04:002014-05-08T09:24:02.770-04:00Joshua John Miller! I'm surprised you didn't mention that he was also in HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH.

Haven't see DEATH WARRANT in years, will have to watch it again one of these days.John Guedeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16977371064737979240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5497928641398322495.post-80179797494608904932014-05-06T11:46:29.753-04:002014-05-06T11:46:29.753-04:00Mike,
Glad you enjoyed, and you're certainly ...Mike,

Glad you enjoyed, and you're certainly right in that they're all winners! I hope to get to KNOCK OFF one day, I've still never seen it, and it's lived in the Netflix queue for quite some time now. Sounds like I'm in for a treat.Sean Gillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00537515557596273876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5497928641398322495.post-70459655354851501512014-05-06T00:49:22.652-04:002014-05-06T00:49:22.652-04:00Ooooooooooooooooh yeah! With this one and also Lionheart, I'm always torn between putting them in the "best of second-tier Van Damme films," or "am I underrating them just because I'm waaaaaaaaaay too partial to the almighty, unbeatable Bloodsport/Kickboxer duo." There's probably no point in ranking them anyway, they're all winners! I don't really have anything to add, but thanks for this, as always, and I hope one day you get around to JCVD's "Knock Off," which just might be the most ridiculous movie ever made!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
