Jesus, I mean, I can't even, what the...? To quote one of your earlier reviews, if there is such a thing as too much Professor Toru Tanaka, this right here is on the verge of too much Walken!
Heh, indeed! But I did find that Walken's even-more-bizarre-than-usual acting choices actually worked in this film, which has more in common with Lynchian modes and a grand operatic tradition moreso than, say, GOODFELLAS.
SFF, Yeah, it's nice to see him do his thing. The man loves any excuse to dance!
J.D., Totally– I seem to remember reading something about a stint as a lion tamer's assistant, too!
arrg. it wont let me see the video in my country! But I have seen some walken moves in movies. Christopher Walken is my favorite actor, and my neices and nephews say I look like him. LMAO, because I'm their AUNT. :)

ReplyDeleteHa. Crazy is as crazy does.
ReplyDeleteI know he has dance in his background actually but Walken is definitely busting some early Fatboy Slim Weapon Of Choice smackdown right there. :)
That Walken sure knows how to cut a rug. I love that he considers himself in the tradition a Vaudeville performer.

ReplyDeleteCook,
ReplyDeleteThat's unfortunate, because it's quite a video! Though, as you say, you can't go far within Walken's oeuvre without seeing the man bust some moves.
