Fun local fact: he came here to the tiny island of Jersey in 1978 (where Neither The Sea Nor the Sand was filmed) to films parts of Force 10 From Navarone, which also starred Star Wars actors Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Angus McInnes (Gold Leader), Michael Sheard (Admiral Ozzel) and Leslie Schofield (Chief Bast), as well as Paul Humpoletz who was a voice actor for Star Wars The Old Republic. Years later, Weathers himself would play Greef Karga in The Mandalorian, opposite Gina Carano who actually used to date Jersey's biggest export, Henry Cavill! Not sure if she ever visited here, but guess she also had some Jersey inside her (ho ho!). Crazy that this tiny island has had so many Star Wars actors film here!

That's pretty fantastic, seems like the Force was pretty strong with FORCE 10, a movie I used to watch way too much as a kid on a battered VHS tape. (Not to mention it has Michael Byrne in it, who played a secondary baddy in INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE. And it's got half the main cast of THE SPY WHO LOVED ME, on top of all that.)
The news report is fun to see––off-the-cuff Carl, contending with the melancholy horror-type weather of the Channel Islands and filming delays. R.I.P. to a legend, at any rate.
