Anthony Hopkins comes across as one of the most humble and self-aware actors I've ever heard of.
Check out his second directorial effort, Slipstream, if you want a surreal experience.

Agreed. And I enjoyed SLIPSTREAM quite a bit back when it came out; I remember it being unexpectedly Lynchian (and with an unexpected role for Christian Slater).
