FORTHCOMING: Junta Juleil's Omnibus Horror Series

From TRILOGY OF TERROR to TWO EVIL EYES, I can't get enough of omnibus horror films. Why? Who knows for sure. But if it's got a couple of spooky stories and a feature-length running time, I guess I'm on board. Unless it's CREEPSHOW III. But that's another story for another day, I suppose...

God, PLEASE don't review Creepshow III. Unless you are talking about the Tom Savini declared "unofficial sequel" to the series, "Tales From The Darkside". That was quite good.

Awesome! I love horror omnibus also. can't wait to see what you tackle. Any chance you're going to do something on NIGHTMARES? That's one of my personal faves but now the DVD is out of print.

Anon.,

Well, being as I didn't make it through the entirety of CREEPSHOW III, I doubt it'll be on the menu, though it certainly deserves a harsh verbal thrashing. I wouldn't be surprised if TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE- between the James Remar, the Slater, and the Rae Dawn Chong factors- made an appearance.

J.D.,
I've been wanting to see NIGHTMARES very badly for some time, and I've toyed with picking it up through Flesh Wound Video. This series may well provide the impetus!

I'd love to know who owns the rights to NIGHTMARES as I'd love to see an indie outfit like Severin or Blue Underground give it a special edition treatment - or, at least, a better transfer. Ah, maybe some day.

Isn't Fleshwound a cool site for obscure gems? Found a copy of JACK'S BACK widescreen. Plan to do a write-up on it very soon.

I like the photo illustration from CREEPSHOW. I have to agree, the sequel was horrendous! I would love to see the Slater Tales from the Darkside on the menu--doubt you're surprised.

J.D.,

Yeah, I'm impressed with what Flesh Wound has in stock. Gotta make that order soon. And I eagerly await your review of the Rowdy Herrington masterpiece, JACK'S BACK!

Tempest,

Naturally, your interest in TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE comes as no surprise- I'll try to do right by Slater in my review- ha!
