Junta Juleil's All-Time Favorites
I've received a handful of emails over the past few months asking about my all-time favorite movies, and so I thought I'd reassess the canon (and the Cannon, if ya know what I mean). Generally, I shy away from these sorts of lists as reductive, onanistic exercises, but what the hell, they're sort of fun. So, in the next week or two I'll reveal my list, piece by piece, along with some new commentary...

I used to try to make these "Best/Favorite" lists, but I just can't do it anymore. I know what I like the best abstractly, but I have no idea how I could do it cohesively.
Anyway, I look forward to your list(s). I'm sure it'll be an interesting exercise.

Looking forward to this. I can never compile a "Top ____ all time favorite movies" list. There's too many. And if I do manage to get it down to a certain number, it changes the next week. It depends on my mood.
Look forward to it Sean. In fact, I agree with everyone here, but I do like the lists. They are fun and even better is to do the list in a year's time and compare it to your older one.

Well, I've narrowed it down to a hundred and twenty-five or so, senselessly arguing against myself the relative merits of movies as disparate as DEATH WISH 3, THE MAN WHO LAUGHS, and KAGEMUSHA. What a ridiculous task!
